Those who don't take sad news well, may wish to sit down before reading on!...
It is with huge regret and a tearful eye (again...quite literally) that we must report the demise of the Legend that was...Elvis. We won't go into too much detail, but torrential rain, foreign HGV's and crash barriers don't make for a healthy mix!! Not even Clinker could have helped this time!
Elvis was a trusty companion and after weeks and weeks of hard work, followed by several thousand miles at the helm... we will miss him sorely.
His resting place will be just outside of Le Mans in France, which I guess is as fitting place as any for a piece of automotive excellence. Better that than a scrapyard in Maidstone. May he rust in peace.
There will be a minute's silence on the 3rd of June at 4.30pm as a mark of respect.
I guess if we hold another event (a 2010 re-union) we're going to require a new steed now? EBay we hear you calling!
