Blue Print Rally - DAY FOUR

After the disaster of Elvis being rear ended by the hotel receptionist in Perpignan it was good to get the bumper screwed back in and leave France behind us. All the teams slipped in to Spain with ease. Most chose to head first to Barcelona. The A.W.O.L Boys with Starter & Clutch, the Blues Print Brothers, the Beach Boys and M.A.D. Colts in tow - hit the beach for a spot of sea volley ball and sun soaking before hitting the road to Valencia.

Some fantastic mountain coastal roads later the convoy hit the toll roads for the 300km journey. The teams enjoyed the Spanish roads a lot with many of the local motorists honking, waving and giving the now ubiquitous Blue Print thumbs up.

Elsewhere on the Rally the Legends team of Will Weeks and Chris Ellis cruised into town on fumes and are in desperate need of fuel. Remember guys running out of petrol counts as a breakdown - the wooden car beckons!

Tim Fardon and Richard Wilson from PCS in the Dumb & Dumber Nissan Sunny were made to feel like celebrities when they were phoned by their local radio station to see how their Rally was going.

As for celebrity treatment the teams could not ask for more from the Hotel Silken in Valencia. Once the teams had gained access to the car park they were treated to wall to wall marble and all the luxuries you would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Tomorrow (well today as I am writing this at 2.16am) brings the longest run of the journey. At 340 miles this should test our sub-£500 cars to the limit as we make the journey to Granada in Southern Spain.
